Who is responsible

Max Gomez, trading as PawtraitCanvas and based in Mexico, operates this Shopify store. For privacy requests contact contacto@unbuenpaso.com. Business correspondence address: Sexta Privada #70, Privadas del Pedregal, 78285 San Luis Potosí, S.L.P., México.

Information we collect

  • Contact, billing and shipping details, order contents, payment and transaction status, and communications you send us.
  • Your uploaded pet photo, optional pet name, artwork proofs, requested changes and approval records. A pet photo can contain personal information, such as identifiable people or metadata. Please upload only the pet image needed for the order and avoid sensitive information.
  • Account details if you create an account, and device, browser, IP address, cookies, usage and referral information collected through Shopify and enabled services.

Payment providers process your card details. We do not need your full card number or security code to make or support your tote.

How we use information

We use information to process payment, create and review AI-assisted pet artwork, send proofs, record approval, manufacture and ship your tote, provide tracking and support, handle cancellations or complaints, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations. Where applicable, these activities are based on fulfilling your order, legitimate business interests, legal obligations or your consent.

Promotional messages and advertising are handled according to your choices and applicable law. An order or photo upload does not itself give us permission to use your pet's image, artwork or testimonial in public advertising. We seek separate permission for that use.

Who receives information

We share information as needed with Shopify and payment services to run the store and checkout; AI-assisted artwork and other technical service providers to create and review your portrait; Printify and the selected print provider to manufacture and fulfill your order; carriers for delivery; and email and support services to communicate with you. The information shared depends on the task, such as the photo needed to create artwork, the final print file, order details and delivery address.

We may disclose information to professional advisers or authorities when legally required, to protect rights and prevent fraud, or as part of a lawful business transfer. We do not sell your uploaded pet photos as a product or grant an advertising license over them through this policy.

Shopify, cookies and advertising choices

Shopify hosts the store and processes information to provide and improve its services. Some Shopify services use interactions across merchants. See Shopify's Consumer Privacy Policy and Shopify's privacy portal for its practices and rights requests.

Cookies and similar technologies support checkout, security, preferences and, where enabled and permitted, analytics or advertising. Depending on your location and store settings, you can manage consent using the store's privacy controls. You can also use browser controls, although disabling essential cookies can affect checkout. Where available, use our data sharing opt-out page to opt out of sale or sharing for targeted advertising. We honor Global Privacy Control where required by applicable law. Other browser Do Not Track signals may not be recognized.

Uploads, security and retention

Uploaded files may be stored on Shopify infrastructure and shared with the providers needed for your order. A file URL may be accessible to someone who has that link; do not treat the upload as confidential storage. We take reasonable steps to protect information, but no system is completely secure.

We retain order records, artwork and approval correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to fulfill and support orders, handle disputes, meet legal requirements and protect our rights. You can request deletion of your photo or other information; some records or provider backups may need to be retained for legal, security or technical reasons. We will explain applicable limits rather than promise immediate deletion everywhere.

International processing

We operate from Mexico, and Shopify, artwork, print, payment and delivery providers may process information in the US or other countries. Where applicable law requires transfer safeguards, we use the applicable mechanisms with our service providers. Privacy protections can differ between countries.

Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of or a copy of your information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; or opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising. In Mexico these may include ARCO rights. Email us to make a request or appeal our response. We may need proportionate verification of your identity, and an authorized agent may need to provide evidence of authority. We will respond within the applicable legal time limit and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

You can unsubscribe from promotional emails using their unsubscribe link. Essential order and support messages may still be sent. You may also complain to the competent privacy authority.

Children, other sites and changes

The store is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect children's information. Contact us if a child has submitted personal information. Third-party sites have their own privacy policies. We may update this policy as our practices change, post the new date and provide any notice required by law.
